The PuneMotors Process

Four stages.One clear process.

Selling your car should not feel complicated. Understand what happens at every stage, from your first enquiry through assessment, verification and completion.

  1. Stage 0101 / 04
    01

    Share your car details

    What happens at this stage

Start by submitting the enquiry form or calling PuneMotors directly. Share your car's make, model, manufacturing year, approximate kilometres driven, location in Pune and its current condition — whether it runs, has damage or has mechanical issues.

    • Make, model and variant
    • Year and kilometres driven
    • Current condition — running, damaged or non-running
    • Your location in Pune
    Important to know

The more accurate the details you share, the more useful the initial discussion will be.

  2. Stage 0202 / 04
    02

    Vehicle assessment

    What happens at this stage

After reviewing your details, the PuneMotors team contacts you to discuss the vehicle. If the car looks suitable, an inspection is arranged at your location in Pune. The inspection covers the mechanical condition, bodywork, documentation status and any other relevant factors.

    • Team contacts you to discuss the car
    • Inspection arranged at your location
    • Mechanical and bodywork condition assessed
    • Offer discussed based on actual condition
    Important to know

You are not obligated to accept any offer. The assessment is carried out to give both parties an accurate picture of the vehicle.

  3. Stage 0303 / 04
    03

    Documentation and verification

    What happens at this stage

Once an offer is agreed in principle, the required documents are verified. This typically includes the Registration Certificate, identity and address proof, insurance documents and — where applicable — a loan closure certificate or NOC from the lender.

    • Registration Certificate (RC) verified
    • Identity and address proof checked
    • Loan NOC confirmed if applicable
    • Ownership history reviewed
    Important to know

Document requirements can vary depending on the vehicle and ownership history. The team will confirm exactly what is needed for your situation.

  4. Stage 0404 / 04
    04

    Payment and ownership transfer

    What happens at this stage

Payment is made as part of the finalised transaction. The timing and method are discussed and agreed during the process. Ownership transfer is carried out through the RTO process, and PuneMotors will guide you through the steps involved.

    • Payment terms agreed before completion
    • RTO ownership transfer process followed
    • Guidance provided at each step
    • Sale completed once all terms are confirmed
    Important to know

Payment is not made in advance before the vehicle assessment and documentation are complete.

Every stage is discussed with you before moving forward. You remain informed throughout the process.

Stage 02 / Vehicle Assessment

Every detail
deserves a
closer look.

  • At your location

In Pune, at a time that suits you

  • No repairs needed

Assessed as the car actually is

  • An honest picture

For both sides, before any offer

Step 1

Mechanical condition

What's happening beneath the bonnet

We assess the key mechanical components to understand how the vehicle performs and identify any issues that may affect its condition.

  • Engine start and idle behaviour
  • Gearbox and transmission response
  • Brakes, steering and suspension
  • Electrical systems and battery
  • Cooling system and fluid levels

Step 2

Bodywork and exterior

The condition you can see

The exterior assessment looks at the vehicle's body, paintwork and structural condition, including signs of previous damage or repairs.

  • Panel condition and paint quality
  • Accident damage or prior repairs
  • Frame and chassis integrity
  • Glass, lights and trim condition
  • Tyre condition and wear

Step 3

Documentation check

Making sure everything is in order

We review the vehicle's registration and relevant records to understand its ownership and documentation status before proceeding.

  • Registration Certificate (RC) details
  • Chassis and engine number match
  • Insurance validity
  • Outstanding loan or hypothecation
  • Ownership history

Transparent assessment

Your car's actual condition guides the final offer.

Important to know

The final offer is made after the physical inspection. Any initial discussion before inspection is based on the details you provide and may be revised once the car is assessed in person.

Stage 03

Documents required to sell your car.

Having the right paperwork ready helps the sale process move smoothly. Requirements can vary — the team will confirm exactly what is needed for your situation.

Stage 04 · Final Step

Ownership
Transfer
Made Simple.

Selling your car is more than receiving payment. The ownership records need to be updated too. PuneMotors guides you through the RTO process so you know what happens at every step.

Follow the transfer journey

The transfer process

Four important steps to complete the ownership transfer.

SELLER NOTIFICATION

STEP 01

Form 29

Notice of transfer

The seller submits Form 29 to the RTO to notify the authority of the intended transfer of vehicle ownership.

TRANSFER APPLICATION

STEP 02

Form 30

Application for transfer

The buyer submits Form 30 to the RTO to apply for the transfer of ownership into their name.

REGISTRATION UPDATE

STEP 03

RC Endorsement

Registration Certificate update

The RTO updates the Registration Certificate to reflect the new owner's name and address.

FINAL DOCUMENTATION

STEP 04

Insurance Transfer

Policy ownership update

The vehicle insurance policy is transferred to the new owner or a new policy is taken out in their name.

Important for sellers

Your responsibility doesn't end at the sale.

As the seller, you are responsible for submitting Form 29 to the RTO within 14 days of the sale. This helps establish a record of the transfer and protects you from future complications relating to the vehicle. Our team will confirm the specific requirements for your transaction.

Payment

How payment works

Payment is part of the finalised transaction. The timing and method are agreed between both parties before the sale is completed.

01

When is payment made?

Payment is made as part of the finalised transaction — typically at the time of or shortly after completing the documentation and ownership transfer. The exact arrangement is confirmed during the process.

02

Is advance payment made?

No. PuneMotors does not make upfront or advance payments before the vehicle assessment and documentation are complete. Payment is only made once both parties have agreed on the final terms.

03

How is the payment amount decided?

The offer is based on the vehicle's make, model, year, mileage, condition and current market demand. The final amount is confirmed after the physical inspection — not before.

04

What payment methods are used?

The payment method is discussed and agreed as part of the transaction. Confirm the specific arrangement with the team before completing the sale.

No seller service charge

PuneMotors does not charge a seller-side service fee or commission. The agreed purchase price is what you receive. There are no deductions for using the service. Confirm the final terms with the team before completing the sale.
